Washroom Installation for National Children’s Charity

This project was delivered in partnership with a major UK housing developer, who required a high-quality washroom installation within a charity’s operational warehouse. The space needed to be fully functional, accessible and completed efficiently to support the organisation’s day-to-day activities.

Washroom Installation for National Children’s Charity

Client: National House Builder and Charity

Services: A&S Maintenance

This scheme was carried out alongside Gleeson Homes to deliver new washroom facilities within Zarach’s working warehouse environment. The objective was to create a practical, compliant and high-standard space, delivered within programme to support staff and volunteers on site.

Situation

Zarach is a UK charity working to end bed poverty, ensuring children have a safe and comfortable place to sleep. Through a collaboration with Gleeson Homes, improvements were planned at Zarach’s warehouse and office facilities.

One key requirement was the installation of a fully functional toilet and shower room within the office space, providing essential facilities for staff and volunteers working on site.

The project was delivered as a joint effort, with costs shared alongside Gleeson Homes, ensuring the charity received the support it needed.

The Solution

Our team to designed and installed a complete washroom facility, delivering both practicality and durability.

The works included the installation of shower panelling, a shower tray, full shower system and shower screen, along with all associated plumbing. The team installed a new toilet and sink, as well as disabled handrails and emergency pull cords to ensure accessibility compliance. New lighting and a radiator were fitted, supported by all necessary electrical works. Skirting boards were installed internally and externally, alongside external MDF panelling, and the project was completed with full decoration throughout.

The Outcome

The works were completed on schedule and handed over earlier this week. Feedback from Gleeson Homes following completion: “Dear Jamie, I just wanted to thank you and your team for your kindness and hard work supplying washrooms for the Zarach warehouse."

The new washroom provides essential facilities that will directly support Zarach’s day-to-day operations, enabling their team to continue delivering vital services to families across the UK.
